WIKION respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, who can access it and how you can manage it. By using wikion.pro you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.

1. Purpose and Scope of Collection

We collect the following data:

Account data: email and name. If you sign up with email, also a password, stored only in encrypted form. If you sign in with Google, the email and public profile name that Google provides.
Your voice: recordings of your spoken answers in tests and pronunciation exercises.
Learning results: scores, pronunciation ratings, answer feedback, lesson progress.
Payment data: amount, time and reference of your bank transfer. We never receive card details or access to your bank.
Technical data: IP address and a device signal — stored only in hashed form.
Messages you send to the dragon chat assistant on the site, and feedback sent with the «Góp ý» button — including screenshots if you attach them.

Purposes

To create your account and save your learning progress
To score your pronunciation and spoken answers and give feedback
To confirm payments and unlock the access you bought
To send service and payment messages. Promotions and renewal reminders only with your separate consent
To protect the service from abuse (for example, limiting free attempts)
To answer your questions in the chat and use your messages and feedback to find bugs and rough spots on the site

About your voice

Recording starts only after you press the record button and allow your browser to use the microphone. The recording is sent to speech recognition and pronunciation assessment services to calculate your score and prepare feedback. We do not store the audio recordings themselves: after scoring we keep only the results — scores, pronunciation ratings, feedback and, in some exercises, the text of your recognised answer. If you do not want to share your voice, skip the speaking exercises — everything else keeps working.

2. How We Use Your Information

Data is used only for the purposes in section 1. We do not sell or trade your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies: we use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your language and theme, plus a device signal to prevent abuse. We do not use advertising cookies.

Analytics run only after you accept them in our cookie banner. They collect anonymised events: which pages you opened, which buttons you clicked, whether you completed the test. We also enable session recording — a technical record of interface actions (navigation, clicks, scrolling). Input fields are masked: your email, password and other data you type are not stored, and the payment page is not recorded at all. Your name, email, answer texts and speech transcripts are never sent to analytics — only an anonymised account identifier. Declining in the banner disables both analytics and session recording; essential features keep working.

3. Data Retention

Account data and learning results — while your account is active or until you ask us to delete them.
Voice recordings — not stored: only for the time it takes to score them.
Dragon chat messages — 90 days, then deleted automatically. If you leave feedback in a conversation, its last few messages are kept together with that feedback.
Feedback sent with «Góp ý» and its screenshots — while your account is active or until you ask us to delete them.
Payment data — as long as Vietnamese tax and accounting law requires.

4. Who Can Access Personal Data

Only the seller (section 5) and the contractors the service cannot run without have access, strictly to the extent of their task: hosting and database, account sign-in, speech recognition and answer scoring, replies of the chat assistant, sending emails, receiving bank transfers, analytics (only with your consent).

Our contractors’ servers may be located outside Vietnam. By using the service you agree to this transfer. We choose contractors that protect data at least as well as described in this policy.

Data may also be provided to competent state authorities — only at their request and where required by law.

6. How to Access and Correct Your Data

At any time you can:

correct your name in your account on the site
ask for a copy of your data or a correction of other data — email support@wikion.pro
withdraw consent to promotional messages and to analytics
delete your account and data — see the Data Deletion page, within 7 working days

7. Complaints

If you believe your data has been misused or disclosed without your consent, email support@wikion.pro with your account email and a description of the problem. We will confirm receipt, check the information and reply within 7 working days. If a violation is confirmed, we will act immediately to stop it and fix its consequences. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact the competent state authority.

8. Our Commitment to Protecting Your Data

We commit to keeping your data confidential and not disclosing it to third parties without your consent, except as described in section 4.

The site works only over a secure connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored encrypted, IP addresses and device signals are hashed. Database access is restricted. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the competent authorities within the time required by law.

If you are under 16, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of the page. We will announce significant changes on the site or by email.
