Yeah, I'm really quite fond of them, actually. There's something about having a bit of greenery around that instantly makes a space feel more alive and calming, especially after a long day staring at a screen. I think we're just wired to feel better when there's a bit of nature nearby.

I do, yeah — I've got a handful of them dotted around my flat. There's a peace lily on my windowsill and a couple of low-maintenance succulents on my desk, mainly because I'm a bit forgetful when it comes to watering. They brighten the place up without being too much of a hassle.

I'm particularly drawn to leafy indoor plants, the kind that don't need a huge amount of fussing over. Things like snake plants and pothos are my go-to, since they're pretty forgiving and still look lush all year round. I'm not really into flowers that wilt after a week, to be honest.

Yeah, I have, on and off over the years. Last spring I actually tried my hand at growing herbs on my kitchen windowsill — basil and mint mostly — and there was something genuinely satisfying about snipping fresh leaves straight into my cooking. It felt like a tiny bit of a farm-to-table thing in my own little kitchen.

When I was a kid, we grew tomatoes in the back garden — I remember my mum roping me in to help water them every evening. I was fascinated watching these tiny green fruits slowly ripen into bright red, and I'd get ridiculously proud picking the ripe ones. Looking back, that's probably where my soft spot for growing things first came from.
